Amazon Cloud Technologies announced that Meta (NASDAQ: FB) is deepening its partnership with Amazon Cloud Technologies as its strategic cloud service provider. Meta complements its existing on-premises infrastructure with a reliable infrastructure and comprehensive capabilities of Amazon Cloud Technology, and will use more of Amazon Cloud Technology's computing, storage, database, and security services for better privacy protection, reliability, and scalability in the cloud. Meta will run third-party partner applications on Amazon Cloud Technologies and use cloud services to support its acquisition of businesses that already use Amazon Cloud Technologies. Meta will also use Amazon's cloud computing services to accelerate research and development of artificial intelligence projects in Meta AI. In addition, Amazon Cloud Technologies and Meta will work together to help customers improve the performance of PyTorch, the deep learning computing framework running on Amazon Cloud Technologies, and help developers accelerate the mechanisms for building, training, deploying, and running artificial intelligence and machine learning models.
Amazon Cloud Technologies and Meta will help machine learning researchers and developers build, train, and deploy aitron models at scale by further optimizing PyTorch performance and integrating with core managed services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and Amazon SageMaker. Amazon SageMaker machine learning services help developers and data scientists quickly build, train, and deploy machine learning models in the cloud and at the edge. To make it easier for developers to build large-scale deep learning models for natural language processing and computer vision, the two sides are enabling PyTorch on Amazon Cloud Technologies to orchestrate large-scale training operations in distributed system AI accelerators. The two sides will also work together to provide native tools to optimize PyTorch's performance, explanatory and reasoning costs. To simplify the deployment of models in production environments, the two sides will also continue to enhance the functionality of TorchServe, PyTorch's native managed engine that makes it easy to deploy trained PyTorch models at scale. Based on these open source contributions, Amazon Cloud Technologies and Meta programs help businesses bring large-scale deep learning models from their research to production more easily and quickly, and achieve better performance on Amazon Cloud Technologies.
