Razer has revealed the release date for its handheld cloud gaming system, the Razer Edge. The device, which runs on the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 Gaming Platform, will be available on January 26th. The WiFi version costs $400. As for the 5G model, that will be exclusively available from Verizon for $600, but you can snag it for $360 if you add a new line from the provider. Buy a new 5G smartphone at the same time, and you can get the Razer Edge 5G for $180.
Razer's designed Carol to work with more gaming chairs than just Razer's; it has adjustable, elastic straps to mount it. The audio connects to your PC via 2.4GHz (low latency) wireless. It also requires charging -- at 8 hours of battery life, it will require frequent charging compared to a good headset.
Razer revealed several of its upcoming gaming gadgets, including a new generation of Razer Blade laptops, the Kiya Pro Ultra webcam, VR peripherals for the Meta Quest 2 and more.
However, the most innovative of the bunch was the company’s Leviathan V2 Pro soundbar, the world’s first beam-forming soundbar with head-tracking AI.
