Geforce NOW cloud gaming platform includes adding Blackwell architecture, introducing Install-to-Play, a new Cinematic Quality Streaming Mode, more devices, and Discord integration. Nvidia is also adding a few new connectivity and mobile network partners.
Blackwell architecture upgrade, bringing Geforce RTX 5080-class performance to the cloud platform. More importantly, Nvidia is not raising membership prices. The upgrade will add DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation support and push streaming up to 5K resolution and 120 fps. It adds support for up to 360 fps at 1080p resolution with Nvidia Reflex enabled, which will be great for some competitive gaming.
The company claims its RTX 5080 instances up to a 2.8x increase in output FPS from GeForce Now Ultimate instances compared to the current RTX 4080 hardware, though that figure relies on Blackwell's Multi-Frame Generation capability for part of the overall boost.
