Microsoft is again having issues with its Xbox Cloud Gaming service as it has gone down today, July 2822. These problems are occurring after similar issues prevented players from launching cloud games. The most recent issues seem to be confined to the United States, but Microsoft is currently working on restoring the service in those regions, but there isn’t a date for its fixing.
Microsoft recently announced that its cloud gaming service revenue increased by 28% to $25 billion over the last quarter. This is in stark contrast to the rest of Microsoft’s gaming sector which is suffering due to “a decrease in Xbox content and services and Xbox hardware.” Xbox Content and Services revenue dropped by 6% thanks to “lower engagement hours and monetization in third-party and first-party content,” although Xbox Game Pass subscriptions did offset that revenue drop with an increase too.
