Xbox is partnering with V to bring its app to select Hisense and V homeOS smart TVs later this year, the company announced on January 5. V homeOS is a new operating system for Hisense that will compete with other first-party smart TV OSes, like Samsung's Tizen OS or LG's Web OS.
In a separate move, TCL also revealed it will bring the Xbox app to its X11L series of Google TV-powered televisions later this year.
Games on consoles are also increasingly well optimised, and since most titles are now primarily played on the PS5, availability and performance are unlikely to be major issues.
Add to this the ability to access a wide variety of games through different tiers of PlayStation Plus, and choosing the right subscription might be the most financially responsible decision for most gamers.
